Organisation profile

Organisation profile

The Centre for Evidence and Implementation Science (CEIS) is a research centre based at the Health Services Management Centre in the School of Social Policy and Society.  Our research is focussed across four areas: Applied Evaluation, Evidence Synthesis, Policy and Methods and Evidence Based Surgery.  This includes undertaking technology assessment reviews and evidence synthesis on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of health care interventions for the NIHR Evidence Synthesis Programme on behalf of a range of policy makers, including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).  We aim to positively impact medical research and provide policy makers with the best evidence available to make the best decisions for patients.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being
