Panel session at Cambridge's 'Wordfest' literary festival.
A penetrating look at the life and work of this accomplished
novelist who died in Auschwitz. Her works include the classic Suite
Française, David Golder and the most recently translated, The Wine
of Solitude. A rare opportunity to hear Sandra Smith, Nemirovsky’s
English translator, and Angela Kershaw, expert in French literature,
conjure up the brilliance of this great author.
Chaired by Ruth Scurr, historian and biographer (Fatal Purity: Robespierre
and the French Revolution).
