Description
In this session we will explore some examples of ways to improve physics learning for pupils through engaging with physics education research. There will be practical lesson ideas, such as new experiments for learning about energy, as well as critical engagement with complex issues, such as how to widen participation in physics to pupils from a more diverse range of backgrounds. There will be an overview of how to access relevant physics education research that will empower teachers to discover ideas for themselves and how this can contribute to continuing professional development.
