Serve as a UCU Case Worker and Vice-President, providing confidential advice and formal representation to University staff on employment matters, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, capability processes, and performance management cases.
Work collaboratively with Human Resources and UCU regional officials to support fair, transparent, and procedurally robust outcomes, contributing to constructive employment relations and institutional accountability.
Engage in discussions concerning policy interpretation and institutional procedures, supporting clarity and consistency in the application of employment frameworks.
Undertake this role to develop and apply a nuanced understanding of higher education governance, organisational dynamics, and staff–institution relations, strengthening insight into procedural fairness, transparency, and research culture.
