Description
The aim of the UKMFC bioinformatics working group is to create a suite of tools to providefront line surveillance laboratories with the ability to carry out in-depth analysis of microbial
genomics data to identify engineered sequences or natural sequences that have been
intentionally introduced into a given setting. This will help determine whether an outbreak is
natural or nefarious in origin.
