Appointed as Human Resources Investigation Officer to lead a formal investigation into an allegation of gross misconduct involving a senior member of staff during the Covid-19 period.
Worked closely with Human Resources colleagues to ensure full compliance with University policies, established procedures, and relevant employment legislation throughout the investigative process.
Conducted multiple investigatory interviews with academic staff and produced a comprehensive, evidence-based investigation report. The findings and recommendations were subsequently upheld.
Presented findings and supporting evidence at an internal disciplinary hearing, contributing to fair, transparent, and procedurally robust decision-making.
Additionally supported case preparation and evidential review in relation to a separate claim brought by a staff member, working collaboratively with the HR team and University legal advisors in advance of an Employment Tribunal.
