Description
Launch event for two AHRC-funded projects: 'Culture and its Uses as Testimony' and 'Testimony in Practice'. In the first part, Romanian and German novelist, Carmen-Francesca Banciu, read from her literary texts, gave an overview of her participation in 'Testimony in Practice' and presented her work in progress. In the second part, a panel comprised of survivors, teachers and representatives of national Holocaust education organisations discussed the future of Holocaust education and the place of testimony in it - this included consideration of the new resources emerging from 'Culture and its Uses as Testimony', Using Testimony in the Classroom.Period | 26 Feb 2020 |
