Description

The inaugural symposium of the Network for New York School Studies featured short talks, close-readings, interdisciplinary discussions, presentations of archival work, joint presentations, work-in-progress, artistic responses, and other conventional or unconventional responses to a variety of New York School poetry, art, and writing. The event was informal, inclusive, conversational, interdisciplinary, and intersectional. The day concluded with a poetry reading in the evening, at atelier Michael Woolworth in Bastille, headlined by New York School poet Lee Ann Brown and featuring US poet Lindsay Turner, and French poets Stephane Bouquet, Sabine Macher, Olivier Brossard, and Abigail Lang.
