This event is cohosted by the Center for Social Development and CHASM, the Centre on Household Assets and Savings Management at the University of Birmingham and support for this event and the associated research comes from JPMorganChase.Recent studies by the Center for Social Development (CSD) at Washington University in St. Louis (U.S.A.) and the Centre on Household Assets and Savings Management (CHASM) at the University of Birmingham (U.K.) have revealed the economic challenges facing low-wage workers and the ways they navigate those obstacles. On January 28, financial inclusion experts from both nations will join researchers to explore key findings from this work, leverage opportunities for cross-country learning, and discuss strategies for mitigating these challenges through innovations by employers, financial-service providers, and policymakers.
