Activity: Engagement and Public events › Engagement event
Description
Noise, lighting, colour, size and many other factors can make a huge difference to how we feel and react in a space, whether it's a corridor, classroom, office or built-up area. This workshop was the first in a series exploring the lived effects of various kinds of environment, co-led by the Neurodiversity Staff Network and the Imagining Wellbeing strand of the Centre for Urban Wellbeing. We invited academic, staff and public participants to reflect on how they feel in current spaces on or off campus, hear from others in discussion, and engage with creative ideas for alternative approaches to built environments. This was the first of a series of workshops focusing on diverse experiences of built sensory environment, organised by Dorothy Butchard and Jeremy Kidwell.
