Imagining Wellbeing Workshop

Activity: Academic and Industrial eventsConference, workshop or symposium

Description

How do we envision the experience of wellbeing and factors that influence it? How has wellbeing been conceptualized over time? And what can historical, political, legal and creative narratives tell us about the private and communal sustainability of wellbeing? This Workshop, co-hosted by the Centre for Urban Wellbeing and Centre for Digital Cultures, brought together researchers from across the Humanities and Social Sciences to tackle these questions in collaborative and interdisciplinary ways. We heard from perspectives in History, Media and Film, Literature, Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences, Digital Cultures, Religion and Theology on topics such as approaches to self-care, relationships between digital and embodied contexts/communications and creative responses to personal, political and economic challenges. Organised by Dorothy Butchard ([email protected]).
