‘Dis/similar: identity and hybridization in Italian culture’ is a postgraduate summer school in Italian Studies which was held at the University of Birmingham (UK). The postgraduate summer school Dis/simile examined a variety of significant texts and topics related to identity and hybridity in Italian culture. It included a daily lecture program given by leading scholars and distinguished professionals. The topics involved several fields, such as Italian literature, gender studies, film studies, and history of art. Moreover, it offered workshops and roundtables where postgraduates can discuss their projects and the topics emerging from the summer school.
