A Land Full of Heroes - BE Festival PremiereAs part of the project 'Testimony in Practice', Sara Jones worked with the Catalan documentary theatre company 'La Conquesta del pol sud' and the Romanian and German novelist Carmen-Francesca Banciu to create an innovative theatre production that staged Banciu's life and literature. The play was performed by Carmen-Francesca alongside her daughter Meda Gheorghiu-Banciu, who is a professional actor. The premiere was hosted by the Birmingham European (BE) Festival in July 2019. UoB's Creative Media team produced a 'Making Of' film about the production, which explains the collaboration and its impact on the participants.
