The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues is a leading research centre based at the Univreisty of Birmingham (UK) examining character, virtues and values in the interest of human and societal flourishing. . This presentation will introduce the Centre’s Aristotelian virtue ethics approach to character education and summarise the ‘A Framework for Character Education in Schools’, which outlines how character can be taught, caught and sought. The ‘Knightly Virtues’ project will be explored as a practical example of how virtues can be taught in the classroom .
